WikiAnswers Up 50% Since Start of Summer

NEW YORK, September 11, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ --

Corporation (NASDAQ: ANSW), creator of Answers.com(TM), announced today that key metrics for its WikiAnswers(TM) site (http://www.wiki.answers.com) have improved by approximately 50 percent since the end of June 2007. WikiAnswers is a User Generated Content (UGC) site, a dynamic and growing platform for a community of users asking questions and contributing answers. In contrast to other Q&A communities, WikiAnswers is a question-and-answer service using the "wiki" approach of developing answers that the community constantly refines. Over the coming months, WikiAnswers will become integrated as a central component of Answers.com.

- Questions have increased by 50 percent since last reported on June 26, from approximately 500,000 to over 760,000 today; registered users have increased to over 280,000 in the same period, up from approximately 200,000.

- According to comScore, unique monthly visitors in the U.S. increased by approximately 50 percent as well, from 2.22 million for June to 3.36 million for August.

- Daily page views have increased by 50 percent as well.

"When comScore began tracking WikiAnswers in November 2006, we had about a million monthly unique users in the US," explained Bob Rosenschein, Chairman and CEO of Answers Corporation. "To have more than tripled it in only ten months demonstrates a real excitement about what we call 'Q&A the wiki way'. This most recent increase of 50 percent, over the summer months when Internet usage generally drops, is further confirmation. The community - both casual visitors to the site and especially the dedicated supervisors who edit, organize and improve the answers - has really crystallized."

In separate news, Answers.com recently partnered with Dapper, Inc. (http://www.dapper.net) to enter the Facebook arena with applications that offer users a Word of the Day, Today in History and unanswered questions from WikiAnswers, delivered directly to their Facebook profiles. In the first few weeks since launch, Answers.com has become Dapper's most popular application.

"We're thrilled at launching our AppMaker with Answers.com at the top spot - they've really hit a target with the Facebook community, and we were pleased to allow their team to quickly and easily make an app out of their already existing HTML pages," said Paul Knegten, Director of Business Development at Dapper.

"The world of content delivery is getting more and more dynamic and we're finding creative ways of interacting with the community through different media," said Jay Bailey, Director of Marketing and Community Development for Answers.com. "What we've done on Facebook thus far is only the beginning."
